Dukhharan Nath Mandir Gonda

The past of Dukhharan Nath temple situated in the middle of Gonda city is linked to Treta Yuga. It is believed that Maryada Purushottam had gone to Ayodhya to visit Lord Bholenath on the birth of Lord Ram. He was very happy while returning from there. In such a situation, the place where he stayed is currently known as Dukhharan Nath Temple.

It is said that by worshiping here Lord Bholenath takes away everyone’s sorrows. People have maximum faith in it. There are two other small ramparts next to the main rampart of the temple, which makes the temple look attractive and grand. A big fair is organized here on the occasion of Kajali Teej. This temple situated at the divisional headquarters is situated between the police station and the district hospital.

Devotees have special faith in the temple situated on Station Road. Being on the main road, there are adequate means of transportation to reach the temple. It can be reached from the railway and bus station by tempo, rickshaw or private vehicle. Mahant of the temple Rudranarayan Giri says that the past of this temple is linked to the arrival of Lord Shiva in Ayodhya. Shivalinga of Lord Bholenath is established here.

Jalabhishek starts early in the morning:

Actually, a crowd of devotees gather here every Monday and Saturday. But in the month of Sawan, there is a gathering of devotees here from early morning. Devotees also perform Rudrabhishek here. Devotees Pooja, Mohini, Anju say that by worshiping Lord Bholenath with true heart, all the wishes are fulfilled.
