fruit of god’s offering
One Sethji was very miser. One day he made his son sit at the shop and told him not to give anything to anyone without taking money, I have just come.
Suddenly a saint came, who used to collect food items for one meal from different places, and said to the boy, son, give me some salt.
The boy opened the box and gave a spoonful of salt to the saint.
When Sethji came, he saw that a box was lying open, Sethji asked what he sold, the son said, he had given a spoonful of salt to a saint who lives near a pond.
Seth shook his head, you fool, there is poisonous substance in it.
Now Sethji ran to Saintji… Saintji had just sat down to eat food with a plate after offering it to God…
Seth ji said from a distance, Maharaj ji, wait, the salt you had brought was a poisonous substance. You should not eat the food.
Santji said, brother, we will definitely take Prasad because we have offered food and we cannot leave the food after offering it.
Yes, if you don’t feel like eating then you don’t eat and start eating. Sethji lost his senses and sat there.
When night fell, Sethji slept there thinking that if Santji’s health worsened then at least he would show it to Baidyaji and he would be saved from infamy.
Fell asleep while thinking. The saint woke up early in the morning and after taking bath in the river, he is in healthy condition.
Seth ji said, Maharaj, my health is fine.
The saint also said that it is God’s grace and when he opened the temple, he saw that the idol of the Lord had been divided into two parts and the body had fallen apart.
Now Sethji understood the whole matter that with unwavering faith, God himself accepted the poison of food as bhog and made the devotee accept the prasad.
Sethji came home today and handed over the house and shop to his son and himself went to the saint for devotion.
Eat food only after making offerings to God, food becomes nectar. Let us take a rule from today itself that we will not eat food without offering it.
