For this reason this place was named Gandiveshwar place. It is believed that it was here that Arjun obtained the Pashupati weapon from Mahadev on the basis of rigorous penance. There is a temple of Gaurishankar in the northern direction of Gandiveshwar place where devotees go down seven stairs and worship Lord Gaurishankar. Baba Gandiveshwar Nath Mahadev is seated adjacent to the Gaurishankar temple.
