Ganesh Tok
There is a Ganesh temple on a hill about seven km away from Gangtok, which is known as Ganesh Tok. This temple was built in 1953-53 by Shri Apa B. Pant, who was then posted here as a special officer by the Ministry of External Affairs of the Government of India. When tourists come here to worship in this temple, they also get lost in the beautiful views of Gangtok city visible from here. The path to the temple is decorated with colorful flags, which the devotees have put here as a symbol of their faith. This entire route decorated with flags makes the journey to the temple even more beautiful. The location of the temple makes it even more important. That is why it is also very popular among photographers. Because from here, they get ample opportunity to capture countless scenes of nature in their cameras. Not only this, due to being built at a good location, apart from the magnificent view of the entire Gangtok city and Kanchenjunga mountain, the peak of Siniolchu mountain, which is quite far from here, is also visible from here.
