A very nice place for worshipers to stroll and pray. There is another section across from the parking lot. There is something special there as well.

Ganga Talao or Grand Bassin, is one of the most sacred Hindu pilgrimage sites outside India. It is believed to be the 13th Jyotirlinga and holds deep religious significance for devotees. There is a massive lake, surrounded by 17 Hindu temples.

The highlight of the visit is the towering 108-foot statues of Lord Shiva and Goddess Durga, standing majestically at the entrance.
During Maha Shivaratri, devotees come from all around the island and will walk miles to collect sacred water from Ganga Talao.

The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, one of the principal deities in Hinduism, known as the destroyer and transformer. The mandir complex is adorned with intricate carvings, statues, and artwork depicting various aspects of Hindu mythology, which adds to its cultural and artistic value.

During the Maha Shivaratri festival, the temple comes alive with thousands of devotees walking in a grand procession from various parts of the island to offer prayers and perform rituals.
