Ancient Godavari Shiva Temple located in Godavari Municipality Ward No. 4 of Kailali District.This ancient Shiva temple is situated on the left bank of the river Godavari on the left side of the highway from Ataria in Kailali district to Dadeldhura, Baitadi. As it is situated on the banks of river Godavari, the name of this temple is Godavari Shiva Temple. The sanctum sanctorum of this white peak style temple has a very attractive 10 inch tall Shivalinga of black stone. Around Shivalinga, there are idols of Hanuman, idols of Ganesha and idols of Kartikeya.
