Gupteshwar Mahadev Temple of Dausa. Which was once worshiped in secret.
This temple is in the northern direction of Dausa. Dausa is also known as Devnagari because Panch Mahadev is present here. Gupteshwar Mahadev temple is also one of them. This temple was established nineteen hundred years ago by Saint Bhagwan Das Ji Maharaj. This temple was established in the north direction of Dausa. City residents come to this temple for worship.
The priest says that Saint Bhagwan Das Maharaj had performed penance here for 5 thousand years. After doing penance, Lord Shankar himself appeared to him and said that he will appear at this place, then Lord Shankar appeared here and that is why it is called Gupteshwar Mahadev. Because Saint Bhagwan Das Ji had performed secret worship here. Dausa Devnagari was settled by Saint Bhagwan Das Maharaj. He was an accomplished saint. Saint Bhagwan Das had made a Banjara the king of Devnagari. To serve Devnagari, such devotees come here to this temple who are not getting married, are worried about employment and are not able to have children. They all come and pray to Lord Gupteshwar Baba to fulfill their vow. And when the wish is fulfilled. Then here according to their devotion, they do Abhishek of bill leaves and water. In the month of Sawan, the devotees here offer Jalabhishek to Baba. Even today, the devotees who are blessed by Lord Gupteshwar Mahadev, see the snake god.
Ramayana is recited here twice a year and Ankut Prasadi is distributed once a year. Pos Bada is organized in winter, Phangan program is organized in the month of Phangan. An annual fair is held in Sawan. Every Pradosh, 15 to 20 people from Jaipur come here and adorn Baba, after which a beautiful tableau of Baba Bhole is decorated here. In 1974, a committee was formed here to look after the temple. Which takes care of the temple today. But there are priests here who have been worshiping the same temple for 20 generations. The priest here has to perform puja only with the offerings of the temple.
