Gurduara Sohiana Sahib Dhaula

Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji came here from the village of Handiaya via Dhaula.

When Guru Tegh Bahadur arrived here in 1665, Guru Sahib stopped outside the nearby village and tied his horse with a Karir and Jand tree.

The Karir tree is still preserved at the Gurdwara. When Guru Tegh Bahadur asked about the name of the village, the villagers said it was it was Sohiwal or Mohiwal.

Guru Tegh Bahadur said, ‘Na sohi na mohi, eh hosi thehi thehi. Ethe hosi mirgaa di thehi’.

Later, the village was adandoned after being looted and destroyed by the mughal forces of Ahmad Shah Abdali.
