Importance of Shikhar Darshan of the temple
According to mythological beliefs, people go to the temple every day and worship God, but if due to some reason they are not able to go to the temple, then seeing the peak of the temple can be beneficial.
It is also said in the scriptures that ‘Shikhar Darshanam Paap Naasham’ i.e. all sins are destroyed just by seeing the peak of the temple. This gives the devotees the virtue of visiting the temple.
It is also believed that seeing the peak gives the same virtue as seeing the idol of God in a temple. For this reason, the peak of the temple is situated at a great height so that anyone can easily visit it and get auspicious results.
Things to keep in mind while visiting the summit!!!!
By visiting the peak, all your wishes can be fulfilled and you get full results of the worship. It is also believed that if a person does not visit the peak even after visiting the temple, then the full results of the worship are not achieved. For this reason, along with making the peak higher, a flag is also placed on it, which helps the devotees to concentrate.
If you go to the temple for worship, first visit its peak. For this, first of all salute its flag and Kalash. Looking at the peak, close your eyes and meditate on your favorite deity and pray for the fulfillment of your wishes.
Sometimes even if your body is impure and you cannot go to the temple, looking at the peak from outside yields the results of worship.
Chant mantras while going for peak darshan. If your favorite deity is Lord Shiva then chant Om Namah Shivay at the time of Shikhar Darshan. Chant ‘Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevaya’ for the devotees of Vishnu and ‘Mantra Dun Durgaayi Namah’ for the devotees of Mata Rani, so that your wishes can be fulfilled.
Just as seeing the peak is considered useful, similarly, bowing one’s head on the steps of the temple also fulfills one’s wishes and all these are considered ways of showing respect towards God.
