Information about the eight achievements and nine treasures obtained by Hanuman ji

Giver of eight accomplishments and nine treasures. This day Janaki Mata.

This is a “Chaupai” from Hanuman Chalisa,
In which Tulsidas ji writes that Hanumanji can provide eight types of accomplishments and nine types of treasures to his devotees.
Sitamata has given him such a boon. These achievements are very miraculous, due to which Hanuman ji was able to complete tasks that seemed impossible with ease.

Apart from these eight Siddhis, nine Nidhis, the “ten” minor Siddhis are also explained in detail in the Bhagavad Purana.

Eight Siddhis: – The eight Siddhis of which Hanumanji has been described as the master and giver are as follows –
1. Anima: With the power of this Siddhi, Hanumanji can assume a very subtle form at any time.

Hanumanji used this Siddhi when he crossed the sea and reached Lanka. Using Anima Siddhi, Hanumanji assumed a very subtle form and inspected the entire Lanka. Due to being very subtle, the people of Lanka did not even know about Hanumanji.

2. Glory: On the strength of this Siddhi, Hanuman has taken a huge form many times.
When Hanumanji was crossing the sea to Lanka, a demon named Surasa blocked his way. At that time, to defeat Surasa, Hanumanji had enlarged his form to a hundred yojanas.

Apart from this, to make Mother Sita believe in Shri Ram’s monkey army, by using Mahima Siddhi, he had made himself extremely huge.

3. Dignity: With the help of this Siddhi, Hanumanji can weigh himself like a huge mountain.
Garima Siddhi was used by Hanumanji in front of Bhima during the Mahabharata period. Once upon a time Bhima had become proud of his power. At that time, to break Bhima’s pride, Hanumanji assumed the form of an old monkey and was sitting on the road with his tail spread. Bhima saw that a monkey was lying on the road by its tail, then Bhima asked the old monkey to remove his tail from the road. Then the old monkey said that I cannot remove my tail due to old age, you remove it yourself.After this, Bhima started removing the tail of the monkey, but the tail did not budge. Bhima used all his strength, but did not succeed. Thus Bhima’s pride was shattered.

4. Laghima: With this Siddhi, Hanumanji can completely lighten his load and can go anywhere in a moment.
When Hanumanji reached Ashoka Vatika, he assumed a subtle form with the power of Anima and Laghima Siddhi and hid himself in the leaves of the Ashoka tree. While sitting on these leaves, he introduced himself to Mother Sita.

5. Attainment: With the help of this Siddhi, Hanumanji attains any thing immediately. Understand the language of animals and birds and can see the future.
Using this Siddhi in Ramayana, Hanumanji had discussed with many animals and birds while searching for Mother Sita. Mother Sita was discovered in Ashok Vatika.

6. Prakamya: With the help of this Siddhi, Hanumanji can go from the depths of the earth to the underworld, can fly in the sky and can even survive in water for as long as he wants. With this Siddhi, Hanumanji will remain young forever. Also, they can cause any body as per their wish. With this Siddhi they can achieve anything for a long time.
With the help of this Siddhi, Hanumanji has attained eternal devotion of Shri Ram.

7. Ishitva: With the help of this Siddhi, Hanumanji has received divine powers.

Due to the influence of God, Hanumanji had skillfully led the entire monkey army. Due to this accomplishment, he had excellent control over all the monkeys. Also, with this Siddhi, Hanumanji can even bring any dead creature back to life.
8. Vashitva: Due to the effect of this Siddhi, Hanumanji is intelligent and has control over the mind.

Due to Vashitva, Hanumanji can immediately bring any creature under his control. After coming under the control of Hanuman, the creature acts according to his wishes. Due to this effect, Hanumanji is the abode of incomparable strength.

Nine Nidhis: – The nine Nidhis that Hanumanji gives to the devotees when he is happy are as follows.

1. Padma Nidhi: A person endowed with Padmanidhi characteristics is virtuous and collects gold, silver etc. and donates it.
2. Mahapadma Nidhi: The person targeted by Mahapadma Nidhi donates his collected money etc. to religious people.

3. Neel Nidhi: A person adorned with Neel Nidhi is united with Satvik radiance. His wealth lasts for three generations.

4. Mukund Nidhi: The person targeted by Mukund Nidhi is endowed with Rajoguna and remains engaged in the collection of kingdoms.
5. Nand Nidhi: A person with Nand Nidhi has Rajas and Tamas qualities and he is the basis of the family.

6. Makar Nidhi: A man rich in Makar Nidhi is a collector of weapons.

7. Kachhap Nidhi: The person targeted by Kachhap Nidhi is of Tamasic nature and he enjoys his property himself.

8. Shankha Nidhi: Shankha Nidhi is for one generation.

9. Kharva Nidhi: Mixed results are seen in the nature of a person with Kharva Nidhi.
Mahabali Hanumanji could accomplish many impossible tasks only because of these eight Siddhis and nine Nidhis.
These achievements are miraculous, and rare even for gods and demons.
