Iskcon Jakarta
One of the oldest ISKCON temples in Indonesia. Beautiful with 4 guest rooms, some cows and farmland. Nestled in the hills of Jakarta. Arati and offerings are as usual. Best time to visit; Sunday feast at noon and on Janmastami. However, reaching the temple can be difficult. Puncak, the area which the temple is in, is prone to traffic usually during weekends and it can take 2 hours to reach the temple, without the traffic, and at least 4 hours with traffic. But, it is a MUST to visit.
The Sri Radha-Govinda Temple also grows some of its own veggies and provides ample amount of flowers for Their Lordships. H.H. Bhakti Raghava Maharaja annually comes to visit this temple, along to a few other farm community on other islands of Indonesia, to check-up on its progress. Plans to make it fully self-sustained is on its way.
