Jaleshwardham is situated at a distance of about 25 km on the way from Gaurela to Amarkantak. The ancient 12th century Kalchuri period temple of Lord Shiva is the main center of attraction here. In the month of Shravan, devotees walk in large numbers to offer Narmada water to Lord Shiva. There is a natural pond at this place which is the center of attraction.
Jaleshwar Dham temple is situated between the hills on both the sides. It is a picturesque place and also the source of the mysterious Johila river. It is situated about 5-6 km from Amarkantak. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and Lord Ganesha.

It is said that it comes under Narmada parikrama. There are three group of Shiva temples in this parikrama which are Jwaleshwar Mahadev, Koteshwar Mahadev and Lodheshwar Mahadev which are nearby but generally devotees pay visit to Jwaleshwar and not other two due to lack of information. A must visit for religious person
