Jarasandh Shiv Mandir Bihar

This site is believed to be the battlefield where Bhim, one of the five Pandav brothers, overpowered and killed Jarasandh after twenty-eight days of intense dual fight traditionally called malh yuddh According to the epic Mahabharat, Jarasandh was the son of Brihadrath, an extraordinary warrior and a very powerful ruler of Magadh kingdom. The quadrangular stone structure accessed through steps on one side contains a distinguishably soft white bleached earth generally characterizing a wrestling place or akhada.
