This place is truly a gem near Rajkot city it’s around 55km. On chotila than highway 6km inside of the highway, there is a shiva lingam below the surface level and the layers of lawa made plates releases water droplets on the shiva lingam 24×365 days. It’s unmatched surface made out of lawa decades ago. One can find pebbles on the surface of land. There are many scenic views of stones. Jhariya Mahadev is a temple located amidst the spectacular Bassi Wildlife Sanctuary that is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Verdant green environments make up the surroundings of this location that are not only green but highly diverse with many different animals, birds, and plants. Animals like the Panther, Fox, and Chinkara reside in this park, not only is it rich in terms of animals but birds like the Peacock, Cranes, and eagles are found in this sanctuary as well. Other than the amazing temple and the magical environments of the Bassi Wildlife Sanctuary this area provides some of the most stunning views, especially during the sunrises and sunsets.
Jhariya Mahadev, a temple made in late Jurassic era rocks of Dhragadhra formation. Here a shivlinga is poured by accumulated condensed rock water droplets. There’s huge population of sparrows here. Jhariya Mahadev formation is Upper Gondwana age rock strata (Late Jurassic – Early Cretaceous)
