Jeen Mata is considered to be the incarnation of Mother Durga. Jeen Mata Temple is a Jagrata Peetha. Jeen means solitude, void, forest etc. Jeen Mata Temple is located in the Aravali Hills at a place called Ralawata in Sikar district of Rajasthan.
Jeen Mata is the family deity of Brahmins, Yadavas, Ahirs, Agrawals, Meenas, Jats, Shekhawati Rajputs and Jangir of Rajasthan. Being the family deity of many communities and families, Jhadula, Mundan Sanskar i.e. shaving of hair of new born children is performed in the temple. Akhanddeep keeps burning in the temple for the service of Mother Goddess.
Jeenmata temple is situated between Salasar and Khatushyam ji. To reach the temple one has to climb about 300 steps. There is a temple of Harsh Bhairav Nath on the top of the hill above the temple. Who is considered the brother of Jeen Mata.

As all the devotees of Mata know that there is a beautiful tradition of offering coconuts in the temple of Mata Rani, similarly coconuts are offered in large quantities by the devotees in the temple premises here. During Navratri, lakhs of coconuts offered in the temple premises can be seen.
Apart from being a religious place, this place is also a picnic, tourist and historical place. For this reason, children, old people and young people of all ages show increased interest in visiting the temple. During the Mahabharata period, Pandavas are mentioned to have come to this courtyard to worship the Mother Goddess. The view here looks even more amazing as you can see greenery, dense forests and mountains all around from the temple premises.
A large number of Dharamshalas have been made available by the Temple Trust and other institutions for the stay of the devotees coming to the temple. Pooja items, children’s toys, snacks, street food, sweets and tea-water facilities are available around the temple.
