Bhrigu Rishi temple is an ancient temple of Bharuch. The city name Bharuch has come from Bhrigu. Bhrigu rishi did tapasya here and wrote his famous book Bhrigu Samhita which is a book of astrology and gives future predictions of lakhs of people. The temple is located in old quarters of the city and in narrow bylanes. Temple has simple structure. There is vigrah of Bhrigu, Jamdagni and Parshuram. There is shivling which was worshipped by Bhrigu. There are many other shivlings as well as vigrah if many other dieties. There is a locked glass cabinet where Varah and Dattatreya vigrah are installed. Charan Paduka of Dattatreya bhagwan is also there. The charan paduka keeps emanating soft fragrance which can be smelled from the keyhole of cabinet. Thete is also Vallabhacharya Baithak in one of the room, and also Maharshi Bhrigu baithak. There is big shani shrine made on the line of Shani Shignapur. Most of the people come here to worship Shani on Saturday.
