Kailash Temple Etah
Kailash temple of Etah is historical
The beliefs associated with the four faced Shivalinga in the historical Kailash temple are said to fulfill wishes. This is the reason why this temple, established 145 years ago, is the center of immense faith of the people.
The grandeur of the Kailash temple at the headquarters and the grace given to the devotees of Lord Shiva has been increasing its importance. The construction of Kailash Temple is prominent among all the social service and religious works done by Raja Dilsukh Rai after the freedom struggle. He constructed this temple in Samvat 1924. Mother Ganga and the Shiva devotee king himself inspired his heirs for the progress of the temple by worshiping in the Kailash temple.
This Shikhar style temple has a height of 200 feet from the ground and is one of the major Shiva temples. Apart from the strength of the temple due to lime mortar work, the four-faced Shivling and Jalhari charged with Kundalini Shakti are the main attractions. At that time, approximately three lakh rupees are said to have been spent on the temple. Raja Dilsukh Rai himself got the inscription engraved in the poem, which is a symbol of reverence for Lord Shiva. Now the situation is such that a huge crowd is seen on Monday and Shivratri of Shravan month due to the belief that the four-faced Shivalinga is the one that fulfills the wishes. The temple priest says that this temple is a wish-fulfiller, the proof of which is the large number of devotees who come here.
