Kamleshwar Mahadev Mandir Balwan Bundi Rajasthan
This temple of Kamleshwar Mahadev, situated on the border of Sawai Madhopur and Bundi district, has been a witness to ancient history. This temple is a pilgrimage site of the medieval era. This temple with high spire of Nagar style was built by Hammir’s father Jaitra Singh in V.S. It was built in 1345 on the banks of Chakhan river. This temple is 12 km away from Indergarh Sumerganjmandi and 45 km away from Sawai Madhopur district headquarters. It is also called Mini Khajuraho. There are still two temples left here, one of which is completely in ruins, which is known as Khanddevara. The second main Shiva temple is worth seeing. Here, yoga, asanas and musical art have been shown in the form of various sculptures carved out of stones in various postures. Statues of various gods and goddesses are present nearby. Near it is the entrance to Zone 9 of the tourism area of Ranthambore Tiger Project.
Skin diseases are cured by bathing here: There are three ponds in Kamleshwar Mahadev Indargarh. Two of these ponds have stairs for bathing and another pond is built on the way to the Chakan river. People believe that by bathing in these three ponds, people’s skin diseases are cured.
A large number of devotees come here on Chaturdashi and Amavasya of Krishna Paksha. Meanwhile, whenever Somvati Chaturdashi or Amavasya falls, the devotees do not even get a place to set their feet to take bath in the pond.
