Kanchi Ganesha Temple, Puri

This Ganesh temple is situated near the temple of Shri Sakhi Gopal on the western side of Shri Mandi. These Ganesha are known as Kanchi Ganesha, Uchista Ganesha, Bhanda Ganesha, Kamada Ganesha, Tantrik Ganesha. Bhitaracha Mahapatra is the servant of Lord Shri Ganesh.

Inside the famous Jagannath temple complex in Puri, there is a small Ganesha temple located which houses a special image of Ganesha, known as Natya Ganesha i.e. dancing Ganesha. The archaeological importance of this temple is very high.Despite its small size, a large number of devotees offer prayers here every year. History reveals that this idol was gifted by the king of Kanchi. The Jagannath temple complex includes several other temples dedicated to the deities Hanuman, Surya, Saraswati, Vimala. There is also a small water pond made of stones in front of the Ganesh temple which is known as Rohanikund.
