The mysterious Khodenath Shiv Shankar temple is situated on the biggest mountain of Kasar village of Singrauli. There are many beliefs regarding this temple. This temple is guarded by bees. Khodenath Shiv Shankar is seated on a 2500 feet high mountain located in Kasar village, 30 kilometers away from the headquarters of Singrauli, the energy capital of Madhya Pradesh. His temple is one of these places, the mystery of which is still unsolved. According to the local people, there are many beliefs and mysteries of this temple which are still unresolved. People told that no one stays at night in this temple, the one who stays is not able to see the morning sun. Something unfortunate happens to him. Along with this, bees guard the Lord in this temple.
This temple of Khodenath Shiv Shankar is located in Singrauli, the energy capital city of Vindhya region of Central India. People from every corner of the state come to visit this temple. It is believed that no one can stay on this mountain for the whole day or night. Because the bees keep guard here. People come here, perform Jalabhishek of Baba, offer coconut and go back. To have darshan of Khodenath Baba seated on a 2500 feet high hill near Kasar village on Bargawan Singrauli main road, devotees have to climb 1065 stairs. Every step of faith and belief here has been built by some devotee. The name of some devotee is written on every staircase. Two lanes of stairs have been built to climb the mountain. There is a huge crowd of devotees here during the month of Sawan. Every devotee is eager for Baba’s Jalabhishek and his darshan. It is believed that whatever wish is asked from Baba is fulfilled.
The history of Khodenath Baba, situated on the highest hill of Kasar village, is about 200 years old. The local people here say that “long ago, there used to be a dense forest here. A large statue of Lord Shiva was seen on the highest mountain of this forest. In which amazing shapes were made. Gradually people started talking about the miracle in the mountain. Due to which the faith of the nearby people increased towards this place, then people from far away places started coming here to have Baba’s darshan.
