Koteshwar/Koteshwar Maharaj Temple Pushkar, Rajasthan

Koteshwar Mahadev is situated at Gwalior Ghat in Pushkar, away from Ajmer. The temple here is more than 450 years old. It was founded by Jivaji Rao, son of Happaji Rao Scindia. The Shivalinga of the temple is white in colour. While returning to Nagaur, brother-in-law Rao Scindia died in Taisar. His ashes were brought here and kept in the sanctum sanctorum of Koteshwar Mahadev. Then the temple was built there.
