There is a unique Buddhist stupa of the country in the Maa Bhadrakali temple complex of Itkhori. The Archeology Department considers it to be the largest Manauti stupa in the country. The special thing is that this Buddhist stupa is worshiped here in the form of Kotheshwar Nath. Hindu priests perform the puja rituals for the devotees. According to archaeological facts, that Buddhist stupa was constructed in the 9th and 10th centuries. This unique Buddhist stupa was established here by the Pala dynasty ruler Mahendra Pal II. At that time this area was an area under the influence of Buddhism. With changing times, this area is already ready. Only the method of worship changed. Due to the presence of a Kothi-like pit at the upper end of the stupa, the followers of Hindu religion named it Kotheshwar Nath.
