Mother Khaira Bhavani appeared in the form of Jyoti. This temple has a history dating back centuries. The British were laying a railway line through this forest. All his efforts failed. They not only had to run away but also laid a railway line in the other direction.

Everyone is seen cheering for the mother. Where the temple is situated, there used to be a forest earlier. The work of laying the railway line had started here during the British era. It is said that Adishakti was seen in the form of a beam of light at this very place. Seeing this the British ran away.

When the British ran away
Actually, the British government wanted to lay a railway line to Balrampur passing through the temple. As soon as the work for this was started. Just like that, a huge beam of light appeared. The British ran away after seeing this supernatural miracle.

There is only one door to enter the temple. Through this, all the devotees enter the temple. Along with Mother Jyoti, there are also temples of many other gods and goddesses inside. Statues of various forms of the goddess are present inside the temple. Apart from Lord Shankar, Hanuman, Kaal Bhairav, other Gods and Goddesses are worshiped together. Due to this, a wonderful shade of devotion is seen scattered in the temple.

Water from seven wells in the temple pond never dries up.
There is a pond next to the temple which is always filled with water. It is said that there are seven wells in it to get water. Before entering the temple, people have to bathe with water from the pond. The temple priest says that the goddess appeared in the form of Jyoti. There is a fair like atmosphere here all the time except during Navratri.
