Madhur Shree Madanantheshwara Siddi Vinayaka Temple
Madhur Mahaganapathi temple is in Kerala, here the idol of Ganesha is engraved on the wall.
One of the ancient temples of Neshaji is situated on the banks of Madhuravahini River in Kerala. There is a temple named Madhur Mahaganapati here. Its history is believed to be from the 10th century. Initially there was a temple of Lord Shiva here, but later it became the main temple of Lord Ganesha. There are many beliefs prevalent in the area in this regard.

According to the popular belief in the area, initially there was only the temple of Lord Shiva here. At that time, his son also lived here along with the Pandit. One day the Pandit’s little child made the figure of Ganesha on the wall of the temple. Later this picture gradually started increasing its size and this figure became bigger and thicker. People started coming from far and wide to see this statue that miraculously emerged on the wall. Later, Ganeshji started being worshiped mainly here. There is Madhuravahini river near the temple. The temple has become famous by the name of Madhur Mahaganapati after the name of this river.
- Other things related to the temple
This temple is located about 7 km away from Kasaragod city of Kerala. Mogral river i.e. Madhuvahini river flows here. There is a pond in the temple. According to the popular belief here, the water of the pond is full of medicinal properties. Mudappa Seva is a special festival celebrated here, in which the idol of Lord Ganapati is covered with a mixture of sweet rice and ghee called Mudappam.
