In this temple of Jalandhar, hundreds of feet high statue of Lord Shiva is installed, devotees come from far and wide to visit the Sri Mahalakshmi Temple located on the Old Jail Road of Jalandhar. On one side is Adarsh Nagar and on the other side is the old GT Road of the city. The history of the temple The construction of the temple was done about five decades ago. After the construction done by the English family, this temple was developed by taking the dignitaries of the city along. The special thing about this temple is that it is the only temple in Doaba, in which a hundreds of feet high statue of Lord Shiva is installed. Two huge halls have also been built in this temple, in which people organize programs.
