This Shiva temple is located in village Shivkokadi of Durg district of Chhattisgarh. This Shiva temple is the center of faith of the devotees. Here is the Shivalinga of Lord Bholenath. Which is about eight feet higher than the ground level.
Features of the temple
Shiv temple situated on the banks of Amner river is famous in entire Chhattisgarh. People come here in large numbers not only from Durg, Bhilai, Dhamdha but also from other districts of the state to have darshan of Shivalinga. Here people’s wishes also get fulfilled. Special worship is performed in the temple on the occasion of Sawan and Mahashivratri. A fair is also organized in the temple on this occasion. Keeping in view the crowd of devotees, the temple has been gradually expanded. Statues of other gods and goddesses have also been installed in the temple premises.
History of the temple
According to the popular legend, the history of the temple is about five hundred years old. Presently, at the same place where the temple is built, a self-proclaimed Shivalinga has emerged. Gradually the height of Shivalinga increased. There is Shitala temple on the left side of the main door of the temple and Radhakrishna temple on the right side. Devotees also come to worship in both these temples.

The priest said, the Shivalinga of the Shiva temple is about five hundred years old. Who has turned out to be self-proclaimed. With time its height also increased. The wishes of the devotees who come here are also fulfilled. Keeping in view the crowd of devotees, the temple has been expanded. The devotee said, the faith of the devotees is attached to the Shivalinga established here. Every year on the occasion of Sawan and Mahashivratri, devotees reach the temple in large numbers to have darshan of Lord Bholenath. Actually, devotees keep coming and going in the temple throughout the year.
