Malhari Martand Mandir Indore, Madhya Pradesh

In the rear part of the palace, there is a temple of the family deity of Holkar dynasty (Malhari Martand – Shiva). When you go inside this temple, there are many pictures depicting the history of Holkar dynasty. Besides, there are many rare idols, especially the idols of the family deity Malhari Martand (Shiva) in various forms. There is a big statue of Lord Shiva here. Where the idol of Ahilya Mata made of black stone is also kept near Lord Malhar Martand, which is a form of Lord Shiva. Many pictures have been given on it which also tell the history of Rajwada. As soon as you enter the temple, there is an idol of Lord Ganesha in front and an idol of Lord Shiva is installed on the left. You will see a big Shivalinga in the courtyard and courtyard. Most of the parts of this temple are made of wood, even its roof.
