This temple is considered mythological. According to mythology, the jeweled snakes had performed penance here to please Lord Shiva. This Shiva temple is situated on the banks of Narmada river at a distance of 42 km from Bharuch. 10 km away from Bhalod, one has to go through forests and fields. A paved road leads to the temple.
The temple is built in simple style. A black colored Shivalinga is installed in the sanctum sanctorum along with small idols of Ganesha, Parvati Mata and Hanuman ji. Along with the main sanctum there are small shrines of Hanuman and Naraddhir.
