Markandeshwar Temple Markand,Nanded,Maharshatra

Very serene and spiritual place, Markandeshwar Temple situated on the banks of river Godavari is 2000 years old.The temple was established by Markandeshwar Maharaj. The temple was named after Maharaj Markandeshwar. Sage Markandeshwar had performed penance here. The temple is made of black stones. There is an ancient Shiva temple near the temple. A 20 feet high idol is installed in the temple. There is a lot of crowd here on the occasion of Sawan and Shivratri.
