By offering a robe to Lord Hanuman, the devotee receives his blessings. Doing so pleases Lord Hanuman. By offering chola to Hanumanji, the troubles faced by the person during the ongoing Sade Sati, Dhaiya, Dasha or Antardasha of Saturn or Dasha or Antardasha of Rahu or Ketu are eliminated. The practitioner’s troubles and illnesses are also removed and the person is blessed with a long life.

Materials for offering a chola to Hanumanji
To offer chola to Hanumanji, you need vermilion of Shri Hanumanji, cow ghee or jasmine oil, pure water mixed with Ganga water, silver or gold work or Mali Panna (shiny paper), incense and lamp, Shri Hanuman Chalisa.
Method of offering chola
Before offering chola to Hanumanji, one should remove the old chola and take bath with water mixed with clean Ganga water. After bathing, wipe the idol with a clean cloth and then make a thick paste by mixing ghee or jasmine oil in vermillion. After this, apply it on the entire body of Hanumanji starting from his head with the right hand.
precautions
Chola can be offered to Shri Hanuman Ji on Tuesdays, Saturdays, or special festivals such as Shri Hanuman Jayanti, Ramnavami, Diwali, and Holi. Offering it on other days is prohibited.
The sindoor used for Shri Hanumanji should be applied in quantities of one and a quarter (1.25 kg), such as one and a quarter pound (1.25 kg), etc.
On Tuesdays, only cow ghee should be used for sindoor, and on Saturdays, only jasmine oil should be used.
While offering chola to Hanumanji, the devotee’s breath should not fall on the idol.
The Chola should be offered to Shri Hanuman Ji in the creation order (the deity remains gentle when offered from the feet to the head) and in the destruction order (the deity becomes fierce when offered from the head to the feet). If you want to fulfill any wish, then first offer it in the fierce order and after the wish is fulfilled, offer it in the gentle order. After offering the chola, offer laddu to Hanumanji and seek forgiveness after lighting incense and lamps in the order given below.

Worship and salutations:
After this, light a lamp of camphor and ghee in a plate, recite the Hanuman Chalisa 11 times, and finally perform an aarti for Lord Hanuman. This worship pleases Lord Hanuman and grants all the devotee’s wishes.
