Moterjhar Temple Dhubri,Assam

The temple is 500 years old. The Shivling in the temple is self-created and is black in colour. Earlier, the Shivling was situated underground by descending 108 steps. Presently, the Shivling has been installed there by reducing the stairs and making a high platform. Because there used to be a lot of darkness and the devotees used to face a lot of trouble. A fair is held here on Shivaratri and Rudra Yagna is performed. Chal-Chadhi is held every Monday. In which maximum number of devotees visit.
