This temple is a symbol of ancient Indian civilization
This place is a symbol of ancient Indian civilization. Presently where this huge Shiva temple is located, earlier it was in the form of a mound. There were pieces of broken bricks and two female idols on top, which people used to worship as Mahamaya. Just east of this mound, there was a pit which was always filled with water. Where it is crazy now. The villagers started the excavation of the fort in 1969 to know the mystery of the site. During this time, pieces of brick, broken statues, big stone pillars and a square foundation wall were found. The second foundation in the middle was that of the ancient main temple. After the broken escape, the villagers believed that Shivalinga was buried inside. The excavation continued and Shivalinga was found within a few days. From this it can be inferred that there was a huge temple at this site in ancient times. It is possible that this area was known as Charon Dham, which later became Charoda and then Charoda.
