Murugan Temple, Melbourne

Situated in the western suburbs of the city, Murugan Temple is one of the most important Hindu temples in Melbourne. The temple houses the deity of Lord Murugan with Teyvanai and Valli and Vinayakar. The complex has three separate shrines, one of Murugan with Valli&Devasena; second for Vinayagar (Ganesha); and third for Sivalingam& Goddess Parvati. The temple also has deities of Dhakshanamurthy, Vishnu, and Goddess Durga; there is also a place for Navagrahas and a shrine for Hanuman in the front of the temple. A number of festivals are celebrated in this famous temple in Melbourne.
