Once seeing Mahadev ji saluting someone without any reason, Parvati ji asked, O God! Whom do you keep saluting?

Lord Shiva says to Parvati, O Goddess! The person who says Ram once, I salute him thrice.

Parvati ji once again asked Shiv ji, why do you go to the crematorium and why do you apply the ashes of the pyre on the body?

At the same time, Lord Shiva took Parvati to the crematorium. A dead body was brought there for cremation. Everyone was bringing the dead body saying Ram Naam Satya Hai.

Shivji said, look Parvati! When people come to this crematorium, they come remembering the name of Ram and for the sake of this dead body, many people utter the name of my most beloved divine Ram, I come to the crematorium to hear the same and so many people say Ram. I respect and pay obeisance to this dead body which becomes an instrument in chanting the name and after burning in the fire, I apply its ashes on my body.

I have immense love for the one who calls out the name of Ram.

Once Shivji reached Kailash and asked for food from Parvati. Parvati ji was reciting Vishnu Sahasranama. Parvati ji said that the lesson is not over yet, please wait for a while.

Shiv ji said that this will take both time and labour. The way saints shorten Sahasra Naam and chant it daily, do the same.

Parvati ji asked how they do the solution? I want to listen.

Shiv ji said, just say Ram once and you will get the result of taking a thousand names of God. One Ram name is like a thousand divine names.

Parvati ji did the same.

This name of Ram is the one who defeats all the calamities, the one who gives all the wealth, the one who provides rest/peace to the whole world. That’s why I salute it again and again.
