Neelkanth Mahadev Temple
No one knows when and where Lord Bholenath will appear. About one hundred and fifty years ago, Neelkanth Mahadev emerged while searching for stolen goods in a well situated in a dense forest. Shiva devotees established a temple near the well, whose grandeur is continuously increasing.
About 40 years ago, Swami Nepali Baba started the process of enhancing the grandeur of Neelkanth Temple, which is still continuing. The brick floor became marble. In the parikrama, temples of Lord Shri Ganesha with his family, Maa Kali, Radha-Krishna, Maa Saraswati, Gori-Shankar, Shri Ramdarbar, Sai Baba, Shanidev, Hanuman, Vishnu-Lakshmi and Maa Durga were built. Swami Nepali Baba took Samadhi on 19 May 2005. With the help of his devotees, his statue was installed on the ground floor at such a place that it could be seen all around. Along with this, temples of Panchmukhi Hanuman and Maheshwari community’s favorite Baba Khetarpal were established. Due to this, the number of devotees of all types is continuously increasing. Devotees are coming from Kanpur, Gwalior, Farrukhabad and many other districts.
