Nishkalank Mahadev Temple, Mathaniya. About 5 thousand years old Shivling located in District- Jhalawar, (Rajasthan) The unbroken flame of Baba Gorakhnath ji is still burning here. There is also a temple/samadhi of Baba Gorakhnath ji here. Many divine statues and wealth around are neglected like this. Below the Shivalinga of this Nishkalnk Mahadev temple, there is a Shivalinga (replica) of Omkareshwar Mahadev. On performing Abhishek (offering water) in the Nishkalank Mahadev Temple, the water falls on the Shivalinga (replica of Omkareshwar Mahadev) located just below. Amazing miracle.. about which the popular belief is that at that time Naga Sadhu Saint used to go from the nearby cave and perform Abhishek in Omkareshwar temple. After taking bath in Maa Narmada, he used to come back to this place and perform Dhuna and Sadhana.Below the Shivalinga of this Nishkalnk Mahadev temple, there is also a Mata temple near the Shivalinga (replica) of Omkareshwar Mahadev. Under the Shivalinga of this Nishkalnk Mahadev temple, there is a well/stepwell near the Shivlinga (replica) of Omkareshwar Mahadev, bathing in whose water cures skin diseases/leprosy. There is also a huge well in the temple courtyard whose water never ends. Facilities like accommodation, food etc. are available in this immaculate Mahadev temple. There is a popular belief about the Shivalinga of this Nishkalnk Mahadev temple that in olden times, when any king or king faced stigma/accusations, he used to come here and get Rudrabhishek done, as a result of which the stigma/accusations against that king or maharaja were removed. -The counter-allegations would go away. Even now, many politicians, officials and lawyers keep coming here to get Rudrabhishek done for their guilty clients, so that the stigma/allegations against them can be resolved.
