Omkareshwar Temple/Onkareshwar mandir Mirajkar,Tikati,Kolhapur, Maharashtra

From outside you see a small temple which has 4 -5 steps to ascend. As you enter you see a large nandi, facing a shivling which is inside the garbhagriha. This temple has a large number of carved pillars both inside and outside.

The front black stone entrance has a exquisitely carved door entrance where you can see naagrakshakas (as per my conclusion) , both male and female guarding the place.

The main shivling is made of stone and has a big bronze naag over it. Also a painting of shiva on the back wall looks radiant. The temple has been renovated inside with white tiles and floorings.

When you enter the temple go the extreme right or left of the temple and watch the top portion or the roofing above ! You can see plenty of carved statues in different tiles above. caretaker told that they were actually Lord Mahaveer statues in a straight horizontal panel.

Outside on the right of the temple you can spot one more small shivling with 2 carved idols on the upper side which suppose are ganpati and kartikeya!

On the opposite side you see a huge tree shadowing a small Maruti or Hanuman temple!
