Our body is made up of five elements, let us know about these five elements
chhiti jal paavak gagan sameera.
panch rachit ati adham shareera.
This extremely inferior body has been created from the five elements: earth, water, fire, sky and air. Since ancient times, scholars have been of the opinion that the structure of this universe is made up of five elements. There is a balance of these five elements in the universe. If this balance is disturbed then it can be catastrophic.
For example, if naturally the amount of water element increases then there may be water all around the earth or there may be excessive floods etc. Sky, air, fire, water and earth have been named the five elements. It is believed that the human body is also made up of these five elements. In reality, this Panchatattva is related to the five senses of human being. Tongue, nose, ears, skin and eyes work as our five senses.
These five elements have also been called Panchmahabhoota. The ruling planets, causality, jurisdiction etc. of these five elements have also been determined.
1. Sky ● The ruling planet of the sky element is Jupiter. Sky is a field which has no limits. The entire universe along with the earth is the causal word of this element. Hope and enthusiasm etc. come under its jurisdiction. Vata and Kapha are its metals. In Vastu Shastra, the word Akash is considered to mean empty space. The special quality of the sky is “word” and this word is related to our ears.We hear through ears and the ruling planet of the sky is Jupiter, hence in astrology also, Jupiter is considered to be the factor of hearing power. Only when words reach our ears do they acquire some meaning.
In the Vedas and Puranas, words, letters and sounds are considered to be the form of Brahma. In fact, the activities taking place in the sky cause changes in gravity, light, heat, magnetic field and impact waves. This change also impacts human life. Therefore, whether we call it sky or space or empty space, we should never forget its importance. Lord Shiva is considered the god of the sky. Vyom is the symbol of Shivalinga.
2. Air ● The ruling planet of air element is Saturn, the causality of this element is touch. Breathing process comes under its jurisdiction. Vata is the metal of this element. This earth is surrounded by air from all sides. It is possible that the cover of air or gas itself was later called atmosphere. Air contains oxygen gas which keeps humans alive. Oxygen is very important for living and burning.Human life cannot be imagined without it. If oxygen does not reach our brain completely, many of our cells can be destroyed. A person can become crippled or mentally inert. Since ancient times, scholars have considered two qualities of air. That is, word and touch. Touch is considered to be related to the skin. The sensitive nervous system and human consciousness are connected to the breathing process and its basis is air. Lord Vishnu is considered to be the god of air.
3. Fire ● Sun and Mars being fire dominant planets are considered to be the ruling planets of fire element. It is the causal form of fire. Its jurisdiction is life force. The metal of this element is bile. We all know that life on earth is possible only through the fire of the Sun. If there is no Sun, there will be nothing but darkness all around and human life cannot be imagined. The fire burning on the Sun provides energy and light to all the planets. Due to the effect of this fire, favorable conditions are created for the life of living beings on earth. Along with sound and touch, form is also considered to be an attribute of fire. Appearance is considered to be related to the eyes. The main source of energy is fire element. Fire is the basis of all types of energy, be it solar energy, molecular energy or heat energy. Surya or Agni has been considered the god of fire.
4. Water ● Both Moon and Venus are considered water element planets. Therefore, both Moon and Venus are the ruling planets of water element. Rasa is considered to be the causal factor of this element. The authority of both of them is considered to be on blood or blood. Because water is liquid and blood is also liquid.Kapha metal comes under this element. Scholars have considered the four qualities of water as sound, touch, form and taste. Here Rasa means taste. Taste or juice is related to our tongue.
All types of water sources present on earth come under the water element. There is no life without water. Water and water waves are used to produce electrical energy. We also know very well that all the civilizations of the world have developed on the banks of rivers. Varun and Indra have been considered the gods of water. According to tradition, Brahma ji is also considered the god of water.
5. Earth ● Earth’s ruling planet is Mercury. The causative factor of this element is smell. Bone and flesh come under the jurisdiction of this element. The metals that come under this element are Vata, Pitta and Kapha. According to scholars, the Earth is a giant magnet. The southern tip of this magnet is located in the geographical North Pole. It is possible that this is why the north pole of the direction indicator magnet always indicates north direction. This magnetic property of the Earth is used more in Vastu Shastra. This magnet is used in Vaastu for applying pressure on the ground. In Vastu Shastra, more emphasis is given on increasing the weight in the south direction. Maybe this is why sleeping with head towards the south is considered good for health. If this thing is linked to religion, then it is said that one should not sleep with feet towards the south because Yamraj resides in the south. The five qualities of earth or land are considered to be sound, touch, form, taste and shape. Along with size and weight, smell is also a special quality of the earth because it is related to the olfactory power of the nose.
From the above analysis it comes to the conclusion that the five elements greatly influence human life. Without them, the life of any living being on earth, let alone human beings, cannot be imagined.
These five elements have a complete impact on a person’s actions, destiny, fate and conduct. If water provides happiness, then the warmth of relationships works to increase happiness and air circulates in the body as the vital air. If the sky awakens ambition, the earth teaches the lesson of tolerance and reality. If the fire element increases in the body then it can be balanced by increasing the amount of water. If there is Vayu Dosha then by increasing the Aakash element it will remain balanced.
These five elements are called Panchtattva in the language of Vedas. From this comes the origin of soul and body. First there was sky, then air, after air there was fire, from fire there was water and after water there was earth. After these five elements, medicine is created from the earth, food from medicine, semen from food and finally man or body from semen. According to Indian philosophy and Ayurveda, the body is made up of five major elements. These five elements are called “Panch Mahabhuta”.
These elements are:

5. Sky (Ether or Space)

These five elements together determine the structure and functioning of the body. In Ayurveda it is believed that the balance of these elements is the key to health. When these elements become unbalanced, it leads to various diseases and disorders. To maintain the balance of these elements, it is important to follow proper diet, lifestyle and yoga.
