Paleshwar Mahadev was renovated a thousand years ago. The Shivalinga of the temple is self-proclaimed. Shivalinga is installed 7 feet below the ground. Idols of some gods and goddesses are also installed in the sanctum sanctorum. The temple is built in Hemandri Panthi style. Presently the temple is painted white. Washim Nagar is believed to be the center point of the map of India. That is why this entire area is known as Vatsalya.
