Pali Shi Mandir/Pali Shri Mahadev Temple(Ancient Shiv Mandir)Korba,Chhattisgarh
This temple is situated 50 Km from Korba City in Pali Sub District, District: – Korba, Chhattisgarh. It is believed that King Vikramaditya, a Banna dynasty ruler, built this ancient Shiva temple in Pali at around 870 B.C.E., which is still situated on the banks of a large pond. Where many other remains can also be seen. In 11th and 12th century the king Jajwalyadeo First of Kalchuri repaired it. His name has been carved on the temple. A grand fair is held in Sawan. The people of the village told that in the month of Sawan, thousands of devotees come here to have darshan of Lord Shiva. Along with this, Kanwariyas from far and wide also reach here to offer water to Lord Shiva. Every year a fair is organized here in the month of Sawan.
