About Pancheshwar Mahadev Temple
Pancheshwar Mahadev Temple is a sacred temple of Lord Shiva located at foothills of the India – Nepal border, on confluence of river Sharda and river Kali near Lohaghat in Champawat district. This temple is also known as Chaumu (Isht Devta) by local people. Here locales worship the Jaat of Chaumu. The temple is mostly visited during the Chaitra Navratri, a festival celebrated in months of March-April by Kumaoni as well as Garhwali people.
