Pataleshwar Temple is an ancient temple of Lord Shiva. Apart from Lord Shiva, there is a temple of Sai, Shri Krishna and Sherawali Mata here. People come from far away places to worship here. It is believed that the Pindi of Lord Shiva present here has emerged from the underworld, hence it is highly regarded.

The ancient Shri Pataleshwar Mahadev Shiva temple situated here has remained a center of faith for the devotees for hundred years. This temple is famous for fulfilling all the wishes. Many stories of miracles are popular here. The temple was established on 7 September 1902.
There is a belief about the temple that by sweeping the broom here, skin diseases are cured.
A fair is held at the temple twice a year. The temple is established near the temple complex, similar to the Pashupatinath temple located in Nepal, which has five hundred and one Shivalingas. Apart from the district, devotees from Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi, Gujarat and even Nepal come here to offer prayers in the temple.
