This Shivalinga was established by Lord Shri Ram himself. Lord Shri Ram came and stayed here during his exile. Here Ram ji worshiped Lord Shiva. It is believed that Ganga ji resides here. There is a huge banyan tree in the temple premises. The Shivalinga in the temple is black in colour.
