Prachin Shiv Temple, 9 Panchkula

This is an ancient Shiva temple that has undergone renovation in the modern days. Located in inner market of sector 9, this temple has a peaceful environment.

The main temple dedicated to lord Shiva is housed under a banyan tree in a sanctum with a Shiva Linga shaped gopuram.

There is also another complex in the premises which houses various other deities and a community and prayer hall.

The entrance arch features idols of Lord Shiva, Ganesha and Parvati. The temple door is ornately decorated with images of Shiva lingas, Trishul, Krishna, Shiva, Ohm symbols.

The roof rampart of the temple bears elephant motifs garlanding the shiva linga.
