Prasanna Veeranjaneya Temple is located in Thindlu, near Vidyaranyapura and Doddabommasandra, in North Bengaluru.
The presiding deity is Lord Anjaneya (Hanuman), worshipped here as Shri Hanumantaraaya Swami. The deity represents immense strength, courage, devotion, protection, and unwavering faith in Lord Rama. The idol is considered very powerful, and devotees feel a strong spiritual vibration during darshan. Lord Hanuman here is especially worshipped for Karya Siddhi, protection from fear, and mental strength.

Temple Age & Ancient Murti

Devotees strongly believe that the Murti of Lord Hanuman existed at this sacred spot many hundreds of years ago. In ancient times, this area was covered with forests and small villages.
The present temple structure was built only in recent decades, as the locality developed.
Even though the building is new, the divine presence of Lord Hanuman here is considered ancient, eternal, and extremely powerful.

The temple follows a simple South Indian architectural style, emphasizing devotion over grandeur.The ancient Hanuman Murti is enshrined in the sanctum, allowing devotees to experience close and peaceful darshan.Despite being located in an urban setting today, the temple radiates strong divine vibrations and inner peace.

History

In earlier times, Thindlu was a forested region. The Hanuman Murti already existed and was worshipped by villagers as a protector deity of the land.Initially, there was no proper temple structure—only simple prayers offered with deep faith. As the area developed, devotees collectively built the present temple around the ancient Murti, preserving its spiritual sanctity for future generations.

Sthalapurana

According to local belief, the area of Thindlu once suffered from fear and negative influences that troubled people living and traveling through the region. Devotees began praying to Lord Hanuman for courage and safety. It is believed that Lord Anjaneya manifested his divine presence in this place to protect the land and its people.

After regular worship began, villagers experienced peace, reduction in fear, and stability in life. Since then, Lord Hanuman is believed to act as a guardian deity, removing obstacles, granting confidence, and protecting devotees from negative forces.

Festivals

Hanuman Jayanti is the most important festival celebrated at the temple, marked by special abhishekam, alankaram, and devotional chanting. Rama Navami is also observed with devotion. Tuesdays and Saturdays are considered highly auspicious and attract a large number of devotees throughout the year.
