Rameshwar Nath Mandir Rajepur,Jaunpur

This temple of Lord Shiva is Rajepur Trimuhani which is situated at the confluence of Sai and Gomti. Because of this confluence, it has been named Trimuhani. It is 12 kilometers away from Jaunpur, 3 kilometers from Sarkoni Bazaar and it is also said about this place that after conquering Lanka, when Ram was returning to Ayodhya. Then during that time, he took bath at Sai-Gomti Sangam on the day of Kartik Purnima, the evidence of which is found in Valmiki Ramayana “Sai Utar Gomti Nahaye,Came to Awadhpur on the fourth day. Since then a fair is held every year on the day of Kartik Purnima. Trimuhani fair is organized at all three ends of Sangam, Vijaipur, Udpur and Rajepur. Devotees from far and wide come here to take bath and meditate. There is also a shrine of Ashtavakra Muni in Vijaipur village and the shooting of the film ‘Nadiya Ke Paar’ was done in this Vijaipur village itself.
