Rameswar Temple Boudh,Odisha

Famous oldest Shiv Temple of Boudh named as Rameswar Temple situated Road side of NH on the way of Sonepur way from Boudh. Very oldest Temple and several Shiva Temple also found inside the Shiv Temple premises.

This temple is more than 100 years old. It is comes under ASI. Main temple was destroyed. It is holding the ancient stone carving on it. Basically this temple is dedicated to lord siva. It is situated on mid of Boudh district of Odisha.

The older temples here are a treasure of intricate carvings. These show secular plus religious scenes such as yoga asanas, men and women dressed in Odiya dresses and doing their daily activities, students studying, amorous couples, festivals, scenes from Hindu Epics and legends, and iconography of different Vedic and Puranic gods and goddesses. The miniature details such as of flowers, animals and birds on the walls are remarkable. Even the ruins and broken panels found at this site show the impressive accomplishments of Odisha artisans from the 8th century.
