Badaun district, located at a distance of 311 kilometers from Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, is the heart of Rohilkhand. Badaun district under Bareilly division is situated on the banks of river Ganga. Badaun district, situated on the banks of river Ganga, is known for many religious beliefs.

There is such a unique temple of Lord Shiva Shankar in this district, where the Shivalinga keeps changing its color with the true prayers of the devotees. This ancient temple was built by Nawab Naubat Rai in the year 1876.

Every Monday, there is a rush of devotees at this temple, but whose wishes are fulfilled. Bhole Baba changes his color only in front of them, not in front of other people. That means the color of Shivalinga does not change in front of every devotee who comes to the temple.

On the day of Shivratri, a big fair is organized at this temple and people from far and wide come to the temple with prayers to get their wishes fulfilled by the color changing Shivalinga.

The temple is located in Sarai locality

Earlier, people did not know much about this temple located in Patiali Sarai locality of Badaun, but ever since the devotees have seen its color changing, the crowd of people has started increasing here.

Recognition of having true faith

Not everyone who comes to see the glory of changing color sees its color changing, but only those who pray with true faith see its color changing. As the colors of Shivling change, a rainbow of colors is visible.

Many devotees tried to know about this colour-changing Shivalinga that perhaps it might be made of a stone which shines when light falls on it, but it is not so.Shivalinga is made of smooth black stone and does not shine all the time when light falls on it. Hearing the glory of this miraculous Shivalinga, the devotees of Bhole Baba come here with a desire in their mind. Bhole Baba changes his color in front of the one whose wish and faith is true.
