Rigveda
Rig Veda is the source of Sanatan Dharma or Hindu religion. It contains 1028 hymns in which the gods are praised. It contains mantras for invoking the gods in yagya, this is the first Veda. Historians consider Rigveda to be one of the first available compositions of the Indo-European language family. This is one of the first texts in the world. Rik Samhita contains 10 mandalas, 1028 hymns including Balkhilya. The group of Veda mantras is called Sukta, in which only one divinity and one meaning is expressed. According to the index of Katyayana Prabhati sages, the number of verses is 10,580, the number of words is 153526 and according to the index written by Shaunaka, there are 4,32,000 letters. Out of the 21 branches of Rigveda which are described, according to the Charanvyuh text, only five are prominent – 1. Shakal, 2. Vashkal, 3. Reassurance, 4. Shankhayana and Mandukayana. Due to the abundance of verses in Rigveda, it is called the Veda of knowledge. In the Rigveda itself, the anti-death Tryambaka-Mantra or Mrityunjay Mantra (7/59/12) is mentioned. According to Rigvidhan, by chanting this mantra along with observing fast and doing havan, one gets long life and by getting rid of death, one gets all kinds of happiness. It happens. The world famous Gayatri Mantra (R. 3/62/10) is also described in it. In Rigveda, there are many types of folk utility-sukta, philosophy-sukta, sanskar-sukta, for example, disease-preventive-sukta (R110/137/1-7), Shri Sukta or Lakshmi Sukta (in the Khilsukta of the appendix Sukta of Rigveda), nasadiya of philosophy- Sukta (R. 10/129/1-7) and Hiranyagarbha-Sukta (R. 101/121/1-10) and Sukta on marriage etc. (R. 10/85/1-47) are described, in which the culmination of knowledge science is visible.

Many hymns of the Rigveda contain mantras praising various Vedic deities. Although there are other types of hymns in the Rigveda, the hymns praising the gods predominate.
There are a total of ten mandalas in the Rig Veda and there are 1028 hymns in them and a total of 10,580 hymns.
Among the ten divisions of Rigveda, some divisions are small and some are big.
