Rudra Gareshwor Mahadev Temple Pashupatinath Kathmandu,Nepal
The temple of Rudragareshwar Mahadev is on the left side of the Pashupatinath temple in Kathmandu, i.e. on the left side of the Kailash hill on the north side. The temple is located in a deep ravine under a large holy pipal tree. Devotees going to Pashupati are believed to get the same as visiting this temple. In the context of this temple, it is said in the Himavatkhand Purana that Rudra himself first established a linga for his sleep out of a desire for solitude. Visiting this linga became famous by the name of Rudgareshwar as Shiva who gives liberation according to one’s desires. Earlier it was mentioned that Sakshat was a follower of Rudra by the grace of this gender.
